Consultation Required Before Installation
At Tease Hair Studio, a 30-minute consultation is required prior to booking any hair extension installation service. During this time, we’ll discuss your desired look, review pricing, and recommend the best hair care products for your needs. We’ll also talk about how your lifestyle may impact your extensions, provide home care maintenance tips to keep them looking their best, and help you pre-book future appointments to maintain your style.
If you decide to proceed with the installation during the consultation, a 25% deposit of the total hair cost will be required before we purchase the hair and secure your installation appointment.

Sun Exposure:
Key Notes:
- Brush hair twice daily with the AQUA Boar Bristle Brush.
- Use the AQUA Boar Bristle Brush while securing your hair with the opposite hand to prevent tension on the roots.
- Brush before wetting your hair and use AQUA Leave in Conditioner as a detangling spray.
Washing
- Wash hair with AQUA Shampoo and Conditioner, up to 3 times per week.
- Apply AQUA Shampoo to the root area and gently massage to remove product build-up.
- Rinse without vigorous scrubbing to avoid tangling.
- Apply AQUA Conditioner from mid-length to ends, avoiding the root area.
- Use AQUA Hair Mask once a week for deeper conditioning.
- Ensure hair is fully dry before sleeping; secure it in a loose braid or ponytail.
- If you have Keratin Fusion or Tape in Extensions installed, remember to not wash your hair for 48 hours after your hair extension installation.
Blow Drying & Styling
- Avoid direct heat on the bond or base of the weft.
- Style extensions as desired but take precautions:
- Do not aim a blow dryer directly at the attachment point.
- Do not flat iron tape-in or keratin bonds; start your pass below the bond area.
- Use AQUA Leave in Conditioner as a heat protectant spray on extension ends.
- Avoid alcohol, protein, and sulfate products on extensions; seek styling product recommendations from your AQUA stylist.
Sleeping
- Do not go to sleep with wet hair, as this will cause tangling & knotting.
- Put the hair in two loose braids/pigtails to keep the hair secure.
- A sleeping cap/bonnet, and/or, satin/silk pillowcases can help to prevent the hair from matting at the bond area and help keep the quality and longevity of the hair intact.
Activities
- Secure hair in a ponytail or braid before physical activity.
- Before pool, beach, or gym activities, braid, bun, or cap your hair.
- Wet hair and apply AQUA Conditioner as a barrier before swimming.
- Wash and condition hair immediately after activities to remove chemicals, sweat, or residue.
Sun Exposure:
- Sun exposure can strip pigments from your extensions, leading to dryness, frizziness, & tangling.
- To avoid this: Keep your hair's sun exposure to a minimum
- Use AQUA Leave In Conditioner with UV Protection benefits
Key Notes:
- Avoid using chemical-based sunscreens on your skin, as they may transfer unwanted pink/orange tones to your hair with a chemical reaction
- Use mineral sunscreens only
